Beauty In God’s Eyes – Perspectives On Beauty

I am deeply disturbed by the way the world thinks about beauty.  We have a very messed up perspective.    God does not judge us based on our physical appearance, but instead he looks at our hearts.

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7

With this in mind, take a look at this project that Esther Honig put together.  The project went viral.  She sent her picture out to people around the world with the challenge given: “make me beautiful”.

I find the resulting images very fascinating.   This project is a great tool for conversation with people on the subject of beauty.    Young girls need to learn that physical beauty is so subjective and that true beauty lies within.
